Job Title: Office Manager for Optometry Office
Position Overview:
We are looking for an Office Manager to help us run our busy optometry practice. As an Office Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the office, managing a team of administrative staff, coordinating patient care, and ensuring that the office is well-maintained and organized. The ideal candidate will have experience in a medical office and excellent organizational skills, as well as a passion for helping patients receive the best possible care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the optometry office, including scheduling, patient care, and administrative tasks
- Supervise a team of administrative staff, providing guidance and support as needed
- Ensure that all patients receive the highest level of customer service and care
- Coordinate patient care, including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and communicating with doctors and other healthcare providers
- Oversee all billing and insurance-related tasks, working with insurance providers to ensure that claims are processed in a timely and accurate manner
- Maintain accurate records of office expenses, supplies, and inventory, and manage the office budget
- Ensure that the office is clean, organized, and well-maintained, with all necessary equipment and supplies available
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an Office Manager, ideally in a medical or healthcare setting
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work well with a team and engage with patients in a professional and compassionate manner
- Knowledge of medical billing and insurance processes
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and other computer programs and applications
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in record-keeping and reporting
Education and Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or related field (preferred)
- Certification in medical office management (preferred)
