About the Practice
This private practice has been around since the mid-1960s and was established by the current owner/optometrist’s father. You’ll find three examination lanes in the Optometry Office, two of those fitted with state-of-the-art digital equipment, and 1 with more traditional equipment. In terms of support, you probably couldn’t ask for more! The owner provides technicians for all the entry examinations, contact lens technicians for all fittings, teachings, and evaluations, and opticians for all eyewear troubleshooting and sales, and you’ll be working alongside the owner each day for guidance and support.
About the Position
This position is ideal for someone outgoing and motivated who really wants to maintain and even grow, the practice’s reputation within the community. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a must, you don’t have to be fluent in Spanish but should know at least the basics to perform a comprehensive exam and be willing to learn more as you go.
Job Description
Optometrist responsibilities include analyzing vision tests, identifying sight problems, and prescribing corrective lenses and eyeglasses. To be successful in this role, you should have attention to detail and be able to treat all kinds of patients with kindness and discretion, from young children to the elderly.
To qualify for this role, you must be state-licensed, or in the process of obtaining your license, and possess in-depth knowledge of eye-related disorders, conditions, and treatment. The ideal candidate will be customer service-oriented with excellent analytical and communication skills.
This job requires candidates to be able to perform duties that include, but are not limited to, the following:
Position Requirements
Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree.
Must possess a state-issued license for the practice of optometry.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
Bilingual English/Spanish speaker
In-depth knowledge of eye-related disorders and conditions.
Patient service-oriented with excellent analytical skills.
