Headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri, Alphapointe is a national non-profit organization dedicated to empowering people with vision loss to achieve their goals and aspirations. Alphapointe is one of the largest providers of comprehensive vision rehabilitation services in the
nation, serving thousands of children, adults and seniors annually through a variety of programs and services, including the organization’s low vision clinics in Kansas and Missouri.


Alphapointe is also one of the largest employers of people who are blind in the U.S. with nearly 400 employees, more than half of whom are blind or visually impaired, who manufacture over 140 million products annually. In addition to the headquarters in Kansas City, Alphapointe also has a second location in Queens, N.Y. The organization’s business lines include injection and blow molding, office products assembly, light manufacturing, textiles, janitorial
products, contact center services and retail stores at military bases in Missouri and Arkansas.


Alphapointe recently completed its most successful year in the organization’s history with revenues approaching $70 million. During the 2021-22 fiscal year, Alphapointe generated nearly $1.5 million in insurance and rehabilitation billings, while serving nearly 4,000 clients from around the nation.


A pillar of the Kansas City community since 1911, Alphapointe was named to the Ingram’s magazine “Best Companies to Work For” in 2022, while members of its leadership team have recently been honored by local publications as the “CFO of the Year,” an “Icon of Education,” one of “50 Kansans You Should Know” and as a member of the “Women Who Mean Business” community.
